WHO WE ARE (New)

A Joke That
Became a Brand.
And a brand that became a reminder to slow down, show up, and be somewhere worth being.

The Beginning
Two Friends.
One Sign.
No Hesitation.
We were driving through my friend's hometown when we saw it — a hand-painted sign, slightly crooked, pointing down a side road: Friendship Park.
I made him turn around immediately. Not because we had a reason to go. But because how could you not?
The park itself was fine. A bench. Some grass. Probably a squirrel. But the name? The name had something to it. Something that felt like it meant more than it said.

The Running Bit
15 Years of
Not Letting It Go.
The joke never stopped being funny. Or maybe it just became something else entirely — a shorthand for a particular kind of friendship. The kind where you turn around for a sign just because your friend asks.
Then came the wedding. My friend, as a gift, had a custom Friendship Park sweatshirt made for me. I wore it to the reception (just kidding, his mom wouldn't let me). I wore it the next day. I wore it all over New York City.
And people kept stopping me. "Where did you get that?" "Is that a real place?" "Can I buy one?"
"The one that started it all. Worn to a wedding, worn everywhere after. You already know the rest."

Strangers Kept
Stopping.
It happened in Brooklyn. In the West Village. In airports. On trails upstate. In cities I was just passing through.
Every single time, the conversation was the same: warmth, recognition, a kind of instant connection with a complete stranger. Like the sweatshirt gave people permission to just... talk to each other.
That's when we knew. This wasn't a joke anymore. It was a symbol people needed. A little reminder to look up, reach out, and be where you are.
"It was never really about the park.
It was about the kind of person who
turns around for it."
— Founder, Friendship Park
What We Stand For
Be Present
Remember when you could just grab your bike and go? No charger. No plan. Just the afternoon and wherever it took you. That version of freedom still exists. You just have to choose it.
Show Up
The best version of human connection is in person, without an agenda. Not over text. Not through a screen. Friendship Park is a reminder that showing up in real life is always worth it.
Find Your Park
There are Friendship Parks all over the world — real ones, hand-lettered signs, corners of neighborhoods nobody talks about. Go find them. And bring someone with you when you do.
